CONGRATULATIONS OWNERS!
The quorum was achieved and the majority vote was almost unanimous (one owner voted no) to under fund the reserves. Therefore the fully funded budget WILL NOT take effect and the newly approved revised budget will. The increase for 2009 will be minimal at 7.5% instead of the projected 33% had you not sent in your proxies. This means that, individually, you saved $500.00 to approximately $1,000.00, depending on the size of your condo, in monthly fees that could have been assessed in 2009. These savings were made possible by sending in your proxies and participating in the process.
Also, the Board approved allowing holiday decorations in your windows, lanais, and on your exterior doors beginning December 5th and continuing until January 5th. All decorations should be removed at that date.
Thank you all for sending in your proxies and/or attending the meeting on October 27th. Both the Board and I are extremely pleased that the vote turned out the way it did.
